MAVERICK TECHNICAL INSTITUTE
Welcome to Maverick Technical Institute, the school we founded in 2015 to bring the equipment, facilities, and industry professionalism to students who wish to enter the ever-growing field of technology integration.
The mission of Maverick Technical Institute (MTI) is to prepare students academically, technically and professionally to meet the challenges and opportunities as Electrical Systems Technicians (EST), the career path for audio/video systems integrators. MTI prepares students for entry-level employment as EST’s, with potential for upward mobility in targeted positions such as residential electronics installation technicians, home theater installers, live sound reinforcement technicians, audiovisual technicians and low-voltage technicians, installers, and electronic system designers.
Sessions at MTI are roughly 1100 hours of classroom and lab work presented by two instructors, with the term running from September through May. Ready to learn more?
At Maverick Technical Institute, you can expect:
HANDS ON TRAINING
At MTI, students actually experience their future careers in real work settings. If you like learning by doing, look no further. Through our training, you will gain a foundation of knowledge that prepares you for a wide variety of industries and career paths. Unlike many careers, this same “basic training” can lead to several different employment paths, all of which are dynamic and constantly evolving.
SMALL CLASS SIZE
We intentionally want to keep our class sizes small so that we can provide personalized attention. We promote a team atmosphere, working in labs, and completing assigned projects. Students are well supported so that they don’t feel rushed or alone when completing their assignments, but rather feel that they're a critical member of a team, just as future jobs in the field will require.
USE OF OUR LABORATORIES
Hands-on experience with up-to-date well equipped electronics labs helps you to understand the concepts that you learn and gives you job-ready, practical skills. Students are both welcome and encouraged to use the workshop, learning the ins-and-outs of product development and system integration in live time.
MTI instructors have worked in the Home Integration industry for many years and offer personalized training from real-world experience. They help guide you, step-by-step, through your studies and hands-on training. Their career experience also means you will find each instructor to be incredibly encouraging, supportive and respond to every question thoroughly and promptly.
